To help the Sayulita Retreat live up to its vision we have taken design inspiration from number of retreats, spas and eco hotels.
We've highlighted a few of these space below and have highlighted what about them we most admire.
SONARA HOTEL - Tulum, MX
Winner of numerous design and hotelier awards. Features spa and wellness centre, eco responsible design and a great looking team.
OUR TAKEAWAY: We plan to visit Tulum and a number of spaces, among which is Sonara Hotel - from a design perspective we love their aesthetic and the way their mission and vision is integrated into their brand. We would hope to connect with the owners as our clients do not overlap and they are on the other side of the country.
VILLA VALENTIN - SAYULITA, NAYARIT
The latest build in Sayulita reflects some of the aesthetic we're going for in use of cement, wood and palapa but it is a wedding and event venue that is designed for parties and entertaining.
OUR TAKEAWAY: We will be watching this space and looking to connect with the owners as our visions are not aligned, this will not be competition for us unless we decide to do vacation rentals.
TREE HOUSE - Tulum, MX
Minimalistic essentialism that highlights cement and wood in a beautiful boutique hotel.
YAAN SPA - Tulum, MX
Bo-tique luxury spa with great design and elemental feel.
OUR TAKEAWAY: If we make a trip to Tulum we would love to visit this space, eperience their Temezcal and wellness packages for ideas.
THE PAPAYA PLAYA - TULUM, MEXICO
- The ethos and philosophy of this retreat is awesome
- They've got the BOHO chic appeal
- The Papaya Project is a bigger retreat that the Sayulita Retreat but it offers great looking food/lodging/spa/wellness experiences that we can draw from.
